anyone plugging bypass is oil pan?

anyone plugging bypass is oil pan? i was told by my local machine shop that running a higher than stock pressure/volume pump can cause oil to push past the bypass, hence running potentially dirty oil back thru the motor. So I was wondering if anyone plugs the bypass.
