Project Composite is now Project ??? (FMS motor)
I don't have a catchy name for the new project motor but I picked it up on Friday from Futral Motorsports ... Alan built stock CID motor with Ross racing pistons (w/ valve reliefs), stock rods & crank, ARP rod bolts, new bearings, B&B, bored & decked for 11.5 CR, re-touched the heads by cleaning up the intake and exhaust and new valve job, new valve train (springs & pushrods) with stock rockers. New cam is 232/235 588/601 on a 112 LS.
Took off a couple of days to put the car back together this weekend but my help had to back out on me and no one else is taking my calls LOL I guess when you need help you become a pariah. So, I tried to get it in by myself yesterday to no avail, after about 4 hours I finally got frustrated and called it quits. Went back at it today from a different approach and got in on the motor mounts. Not easy believe me!!!!! So my plan to have it running this weekend is shot, I guess it'll be another two weeks or so of after work time to get it going again.
It has been since February / March timeframe (hell I can't even remember) since driving the car and last October since racing.
Anybody with free time is welcome to come over and help me get the bastard running again. Free beer and chicken wings.

I'll come over after work this week and get the car running for you. I am off next weekend, so if it isn't done this week, we can wrap it up then.
Besides, my Nextel was left at home today, so I was unreachable.
George, watch out going to N.O. with Steve. His idea of going to bars isn't the same as most guys. He hangs out on the 'other' end of Bourbon Street.
Vince, sorry, the ceilings are too low for you. LOL

Will definetly need help with the transmission tho'
Tim, excuses, excuses. I have 12' ceilings, Vince can come to my house. Now your home in Hobbiton would definetly be too small for him.

I am interested to see what she does when I get some weight out of it (of course add a cage) and do some fine tuning. Not gonna say any numbers but it should be competitive.
I dont mind coming over and helping you out, I want to see you get your car back running asap. Just give me a call during the week.

Thanks Alan, you work long enough hours as it is to have to drive to BFE in Prairieville to help me out. I am taking tomorrow off and have to pick up Suzie at the airport. Hopefully I'll get the top end and headers in tomorrow.
Alan, do you know the size difference between the Ross pistons and the stockers? Also, is the ring design any different?
