Head mill question?
Head mill question? I have a stock bottom end 5.3 that I'm putting a torqer v3 cam and a potted set of 241 heads. My buddy i bought the heads from had them ported but didn't have the heads milled they were jus planed to ensure flat surface the porter messured them at 63 or 62 cc I read that the 5.3 are somthing like 58cc or there about. So should i have these heads milled to get the cr back close to stock or even a little higher or leave em alone. I am just worried about ptvc with the heads milled.
if u already have them then yes mill them down to about 59cc and slap em on. if u dont have them or didnt buy them yet then hold off and look at some 243's which can be bought for cheap these days and mill them down.
