recently got my 99 TA been looking at mods and found a good deal on a set of 243 ls6 heads that came off a z06 so im wanting to build from heads up. Like what i should have done with heads. Which cam to go with want something that will compliment the heads good but wont rob my mpg. Then im trying to decide what to do with intake and throttle body any ideas

I,d suggest no greater than a 228r: 114 for a more civil idle, 112 for more low end power (and lope, which just so happens to be improper control of exhaust gasses due to the increased overlap, which allows it into the intake tract at low rpm, where it is reinjected into the cylinder during the next intake valve opening, resulting in a less efficient burn process, leading to inconsistent power from cylinder to cylinder, leading to the unstable loping sound that some people so insatiably desire. Honestly during ordinary DRIVING operation there'd be no appreciable difference between 112 and 114).

Remember also that economy is dictated more by driving style and stall speed (which isn't relevant if you're manual). bigger stall = more slip = worse mileage around town. Unless of course you're one of "Those Guys" that wants to daily drive a 248/262. On a 100 LSA.
