Will a exhaust cut/out slow me down or give me extra power? Its for a ls1 camaro

If you have a stock exhaust, you will definitely pick up some power. A good 20-30hp with a cut out.

From what i have read you can expect a good gain if you have a restrictive exhaust. It also depends on other mods such as a cam.

I wouldint lose back pressure? I know on the freeway I'll be faster how about from a dead stop take off?

It's a stock motor I just have slp intake and borla exhaust

Manifolds will maintain the back pressure I think. If there is a loss of back pressure you will lose low end torque, but gain top end power. You want a balance of air in and exhaust out. Since you car is mainly stock i don't know that i would go with a cutout. It could potentially offset the balance.
