Default countersunk cam door bolt size

does any one know the size pitch and length of the new countersunk cam door bolts?

Iirc, they are m8x1.25 and about .625 length. I got a set or 2. I will check tommorow.
They usr a torx to fasten em down

Torque value changes as well. I have the GM part number or you can contact SDPC who has all the information. There is also a non-countersunk version available aftermarket which would be my preference.

thanks for that info. the dealer doesnt have any in stock and i need them today so im going down the street to my industrial supply place and im sure i can find some there.

Vettenuts i agree with you, i like the original flat faced bolts better. wonder why they went to countersinking the cam?

The VVT camshaft actuator needed the clearance.

ah i see. which motors did they put that on? i know the LS2 block is set up for the DOD but not used and doenst have the vvt

L92. L76 (G8 GT). L99 (2010+ auto trans Camaros). Some 5.3s and a few others I don't know the codes for off the top of my head
