5.3 rear main seal help
5.3 rear main seal help first time doing a ls1. i have a book on ls1s but in only shows how to install the seal with the tool. i have a felpro rear main seal that i installed with the rear main cover off. i tapped it in flush with the seal seat. tried to install it and havint a hard time getting it installed. the plastic piece fell out of the seal. i slide it back in the seal from the engine side and tried to reinstall it. i guess im not getting the seal centered or something im gonna buy a new seal tomorrow. does anybody have any suggestions?
