What is the difference between say a 98 ls1 rebuild kit vs a 02 rebuild kit?
I would think the bottom end would be the same. bit the only difference would be the intake and valve covers?
Also what about a rebuild working with aftermarket heads. is it the same seals?

i know that GM changed a few things from 98 - 02 one of which being the piston rings i believe.

 

Would it be better to by individually? Or kit?
