Does the ASA cam need ported heads or higher compression ratio to fully utilize it's potential?
I see GMPP lists 2 CNC ported LS6 heads along with the GM Hot Cam and Showroom stock cam.
Does anyone have experience with any combination of these in road coarse application?
They made about 400 to the wheels. The cam was designed for oval track but is equally at home on the road courses. Good torque curve and decent power up to 6500 or so.
Some of the Crane Cams V8 StockCar racers are still running on Lingenfelter motors that were built before 2004. Ricky Sanders just finished 3rd at Sebring with an original ASA motor and it had some smoke.
