Ok so here is my dilemma. I have a 2004 Silverado 2500HD with a 6.0. I blew a head gasket and am about to order a head gasket set online. Then, I start seeing all of this first design...second design crap. I looked in the drivers door of my truck and it says 7/03. So i need the first design head bolts. Problem is a 2003 silverado calls for felpro head gasket set Part# Hs26192Pt and the 2004 calls for a felpro gasket set part # Hs26192Pt2. So my question is.....since I have the "first design" motor, should i order the 2003 gasket kit? Thanks for the help!

 

I am not dure, but I would say the 03 gasket.....call the dealership with your info and ask them....the design change was late 03, but not sure what month. With your vin number they souls be able to tell you
