How are you liking that combo? I really think you should be making more hp with a cam that big.

honestly right now sounds like too much converter, i would step up the cam and gears and your fuel system, you should be trapping at least 115 or more hopefully that 10 bolt holds up, lol

So far im liking the combo and with the proper tune now its very streetable, occasionally it surges a little bit if i step on the gas and then have to break real quick it might surge a little for a second or two but thats probably more related to the big throttle body. as far as horsepower goes im happy with it. dyno numbers are all subjective it all depends on the kind of dyno and i guess load put on the rollers, and im sure we could have tached the engine up to 7000 rpm and gotten a little more out of it and tuned it a little different for a race set up and loose more streetable characteristics.

That is good to hear that you think it is streetable. That is what I wanted to know. I dont want a car that runs like crap when you are not hammering it all the time.

With this setup have you taken it to the track? I am looking to see what you are running with this combo?

What is everyone else running with similar setups at the track?

with great heads I would consider a custom to get the most power with hi flowing heads.you would like a cam with duration a split to match port flows .

I think the PRC 227 and MS3 or MS4 combo will work well. And both of those cams will appreciate the SS4000 when paired with 3:73s. You will have no problems hitting mid 11's and possible lower 11's depending on track/weather/car weight and all those factors.

i think the PRC 227 might be better also but paired with the ms3 or ms4 i think you have to fly cut pistons with those heads
