Default Help Identifying a Camshaft?

Hey guys,

I need some help identifying a mystery camshaft...

It says 81282 on the end, as well as 2871E.

It sorta looks billet, so I'm thinking it's not a regrind, but have no way of knowing.

Thanks

I should add that it's possible that the 81282 is z8218 upside down.

If it's a regrind the base circles will be smaller by something like .050-.075" smaller than a stock LS1 cams base circles .

That settles that. It is def a smaller base circle.

So that being said, is there a bad record with stock regrinds?

I've only seen 1 re-grind and there was a difference of about .008" between different lobes lift #'s and there is no way to tell what the duration is or the center lines or the lobe seperation angles unless You can find a shop with a cam doctor and pay them to put it on and find out all those #'s .
