Lifter making noise I have a lifter making noise in my 01 formula a4 it's a high mileage ls1 but runs like the day i got it if not better just wondering while I'm in there would a set of heads make
It any harder on the motor it has a stock cam in it and I don't want to put one in even though I no how much more bang for a buck it would be but I'm going to build a short block soon and put a fresh cam in it just wanna no if the heads will strain the motor more

try using the marvel mystery oil, pour the bottle in with your oil and run the car for about 200 miles or so, drain the oil when at operating temp and add your new oil, see if it helps, i did this with an s10 i had and it took the noise away
