motor mount install best options?
Car is 99 z28 with 6spd, got some prothane mounts coming in tomorrow and wondering what my best options are?
I've already read the DIY on site, just wanting to know if theres a faster way? I have a cherry picker and jacks at my house, but I also have access to a car lift both 2 and 4 post...
Which of these would be best or is it gonna be time consuming either way? Also does anyone recomend any other tools extra then what the DIY listed?

Do you have to replace them? In general its a pain in the ***. But if I was to do it over again i think I would pull the whole motor out before I would try and replace them while there in the car again. Because when you pull out the stock ones and put your new prothanes in there, they fight alot tighter and are a **** to work in there. Working underneath the car for that long, fighting with everything is a pain. Good luck you though, I would try and do it when your doing a bunch of other stuff while its all out.

I would recommend doing headers along with motor mounts, the time that you'll spend is not going to be worth it if it just for the motor mounts. I did mine when I swap my headers, did the driver's side in 1 hour and passenger side for another hour, I had 1 friend helping me and a lift. Those bolts are hard to take off and when you're about to put them in somehow they just wouldn't line up right in my case. Good luck!

disconnect the pos lead on the batt....place piece of wood under oil pan and a jack under that and raise til it barely puts any pressure on engine.......loosen the nut on the bolt that goes thru the pedestal and motor mount.......remove bolts 4 bolts on motor mount and pedestal...jack up engine as needed......wiggle out entire assembly or separate if you have enough room......do one side at a time..........good luck
