Losing oil pressure
Car runs great for about 10 minutes until it gets warmed up.
Once warmed up the engine starts making more noise and if you come to a stop the oil pressure on the JHP gauge goes to zero and the "check oil" message comes up. Obviously turning if off quick just in case.
Let it sit for awhile. Start it up and it's fine. Engine sounds great and the oil pressure is up. Drive around for a bit, same deal.
Part of the cam install was a new TSP oil pump.
I had the engine out of the car when I put the pump on so I know the o-ring is lined up fine.
Thoughts?
Thanks

that would make me nervous. Ive never heard of this symptom. Worst i seen. a guy brought me in a dwindling oil psi car. I pulled off the stock pump, installed one i ported and shimmed. Ran like a champ for another 2 years. It got worse for him when the oil was wearing down. Came in as low as 20psi or just under.
0 pressure means failure. Usually. ive heard of debris in the pickup screen can also cause low pressure. Sludge or other byproducts.
May want to pull the motor and do a big WTF check
Do you have any shiny metal in the oil?
If so, I might recommend at least removing the oilpan to see if any of the rod caps can be moved.
Since you changed the cam, is it possible that the bowtie seal on the front of the cam is compromised?
Long story short....wiped cam bearing (#3)....thought it spun, but after taking to machine shop and having them measure...it was just wiped.
I hope that's not the case for you.
