balancer question

I just got a sfi f body balancer and was going to put it on my lq9 but its made for a key and the stock snout doesn't have one. Do i need to have it keyed or Will it be fine without?

Yep it will be fine. The key is just an option, it should still be a full press fit so it doesn't slip.
