Default one month lead time for probe pistons??

Doing a budget rebuild on my '97 LS1 and was planning to go with the Probe P2600F-003 pistons since they have a 3.902 bore, are light weight, forged and are only $350.

Except no one has them in stock and probe says there is a 4 week lead time for the next batch. I don't really want to wait another 4+ weeks if I can help it.

Anyone know if there's a place that has these in stock?

I don't get why more companies don't make an affordable 3.903 or 3.905 bore OEM replacement piston for people who want to rebuild their stock engines without power adders. I would imagine there would be a decent market for them.

I have, the only Mahle's I could find were around 650 w/ rings for 6.098 rods, which is roughly $200 more than the probe's w/ rings.

Guess I'll just have to wait or spend more.

Was originally hoping to use some new OEM pistons I have, but piston to wall is around 0.004 according to the machine shop. Then to have new pistons installed I'm looking at 200 to deck plate hone, 170 to balance, then the cost of the pistons.

4 weeks quickly turns into 12 when ordering Probe pistons... speaking from experience here.

I dumped them and got Wiseco's instead.
