Procharged & Stroked LS6 Thrown Rod.......... does anyone offer budget shortblocks,not necassarilly budget but something other than "built"? i dont think ill ever need callies cranks and compstar rods and things of the sort...lol. it can be ls1,lq9,lq4.dont really want a junkyard engine as for the price of them i hope i could find a "regularly rebuilt" engine.
im sure everyone who needs a new ls engine doesnt have to resort to a built texas speed engine. dont want to let any local machine shops touch my shortblock as more than 1 shop has told me they can overbore a ls1 engine .030 over and tried to make me feel dumb about it so im staying asa far away as possible.

Jegs and summit both offer blueprint brand reman'd engines.

but by the time you buy that long block you could have had a forged shortblock for the same price and just swapped over your top end, if they are still intact. I know you said you dont "need" the forged internals, but when you start talking dollars, the price difference is not all that much.

3900 bucks. stock crank, but forged everything else.
if you decide to flip the car, I would just hunt for a used long block in the classifieds.

thats the main reason i came on here and asked.most used ls shortblocks are around 1500 to 2k..i was thinking for that much maybe someone was offering "stock" rebuilt shortblocks but i guess not..........
