finally a quiet valvetrain :)
Well i was finally able to start my goat after 8 months of being down to a broken spring. the previous cam got trashed from a piece of spring so i ended up with a BRE cam and some additional port work on the 243's. here is a quick rundown of the current setup
stock LQ9 bottom end with .060 flycuts
243's ported from the valve guide down (done by Airflowdevelop)
custom BRE cam (23x/24x .64x/.65x degree'd in on 111lsa
stock ls7 lifters
stock rockers with .040 milled stands to correct the wipe
comp 3/8 pr's (7.250 with .030 preload)
ls6 intake and stock tb for now
i was pleasantly surprised when it fired up on the first crank. The valvetrain is quieter than my stock motor was. even after running a couple blasts it's still dead silent. i'm working on posting a quick vid.

I was very hesitant to run .030 preload but it is way quieter than my old 230/242 with .055 preload. I thought with the size of this cam it would have been louder. I'm pretty happy
