Gday
I'm looking at rebuilding my old Ls1 (190 000km) to run only for Drag Racing.
Cars race weight is at 1473kgs (3240 pounds) and has a PB of 12.03@112.78mph
Mods are 4-1 diffillipo extractors, 4.11 diff gears with full spool, geforce shafts, Over the radiator intake, valve springs, 4500 stall and a mafless tune.
Im looking at getting the car down to 11.2 or better, and would like opinions on Intakes, heads and cam. I have been thinking of a Victor Jnr manifold with a scoop/filter through the bonnet, some ported and decked 243 heads and a 230's + sized cam.
Anyone know what i can do to make the engine more consistent, would freshening the bottom end up with new bearings, balancing the crank, and some lightweight pistons be a good option ?
Worst thing is i haven't got a big budget, is there a better option out there for me ?

Talk to GIZMO, he's a member here and builds/drives stock eliminator cars (both LSX and LTX). I'd be willing to bet he knows a thing or 2 about how to make a car consistent for class/bracket racing.
