Question Cam install question

I'm putting a cam into my SS shortly and I I have a quick question. The place of install and the place I'm getting it tuned at are 85 miles apart. Is it safe for me to drive the car or should I tow it?

Here are the specs on the cam I am getting: 226/228 duration, .570"/.571", 111lsa

Also, I put on long tube headers last fall and have not had it tuned yet.

Any help I would appreciate. Thanks

all will be fine. The only problem I would forsee is that the idle may surge and die on you when you stop. Other than that it shouldn't do any damage

Drove mine 150 miles to get it tuned after my 231/226 590/585 cam install with no real problems. I drilled out my throttle blade to get it to idle, but then I had to weld it back up and downsize the hole after my tuning to get it to idle correctly.

yup as mentioned you'll be fine just may not want to idle too well (though w/a 111 LSA i'm guessing you have an M6?) and will probably surge on you

Yeah, M6, sorry I did not clarify that.

Thanks for all the help, I'm getting really excited about this, but as always with the amount of investment into the car, want to be careful.
