Need a little help with math (milling)
Need a little help with math (milling) So I'm getting a set of 243s from an LS2. Currently running stock 5.7 bottom end, with a TR 224 cam (112 LSA) with the GM MLS gasket (.054 I believe). I'm thinking of milling the heads .014 to get a chamber volume of 62.45cc for a DCR of 8.66 and a SCR of 10.89:1.
Will anyone double check my math? Cam card attached.
Can/should I go more? I've heard you really don't want DCR above 8.8:1, if I wanted to push it I could go to 62cc chamber but that it putting it really close at 8.71.
Other than pushrod length is there anything else I should be concerned with? I doubt I'll have manifold or PTV issues but I'd like to make sure.

I've got a set of 5.3 heads milled to 61cc on my stock bottom end LS1. I'm running a very similiar cam as you (224R) I used oem head gaskets and got 11.1 CR I have NO IDEA what my SCR or DCR is but even on the 100 shot I'm perfectly fine with pump gas. My pushrod length is 7.4 and I have no sewing machine noise. You PTV I'm betting will be 100% OK but it is alway safe to check to make sure. In case you are wondering numbers are in sig.
