Will do, I really hope to o-ring is correctly seated this time. Don't want to take apart again. Yea lol but once the truck is gone, won't be on the site anymore.

Haha part of the reason I'm selling my truck. 10mpg isn't much fun, but sure is fun to drive and would walk my t/a.

So.....fired up the car last night and had 40psi. Let it run while I got all the air out of the radiator/block and stayed the whole time. Shut it off and let it cool. Went out a few hours later and still great pressure. Go to take it for gas this morn, get to the gas sation about a mile away and the gauge is fluttering again. Take it back home and once i get home....0 psi.

This was before class...so I went back home to get my truck. I just got back from class and fired up the car to see if anything changed. Back to 40psi! Bearing clearance or something else? Starts good, the fluctuates, then nothing. Does oil thin that much?

You should verify the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.

Verified by ticking lifters and chattering rockers lol. That's what I originally though it was because of the gauge fluttering.

This time I pushed the tube up and tightened the bolt as opposed to tightening the bolt and letting it pull itself up. Hopefully ill be good to go this time.
You should have re-replaced the o-ring here...

That's screwy as hell, I'd have replaced that o-ring. To be safe you could buy bearings and drop the pan and replace the bearings along with a new o-ring. Good bearings will only set you back $300ish and you'll know you're good for a long while.

That's what i think it is, o-ring seemed to be fine. yea I know i should have replaced it but i just wanted ti get it done. But it doesn't really seem like the o-ring because like i said, it starts with 40 psi. Can change the crank bearings in these by just dropping the pan?

Anyone have a comment on whether its still the o-ring or bearings? If its bearings, can they all be done with the motor in the car?

My car had the oil pump pressure relief stick wide open thus bleeding off pressure. Oil pressure dropped, I shut if off. Once I started it again, there was no pressure, lifters were making noise.

Maybe pull it apart and check this or put a new pump in. If you were going to do bearings, seems like you should pull the motor and have the crank resized to obtain the proper clearances.
