Ok, so I picked up my head from the shop, they milled them .009 to get it true. Bolted it on the motor with no head gasket and set up the valve train for 1 cylinder to check clearance. With no Head gasket there is 3/32 clearance on the exhaust side (Intake has more) wich is .09375. Based on that should I mill them any more or leave well enough alone? Also what Head Gasket should I go with? Any Recomendations? Thanks for the help.

Also, you might find this a good read!

Its a good read but i really dont get this one picture. . . . .

If you compare those cutoffs in this picture you can see the floor of the runners are cut differently comparing shades of the cut and shape of waterpocket too. What is really purpose of this picture? You cant see this much difference if they are cut evenly or what do you guys think?

Just want to say again if you are aiming for street these LS1 heads are still badass stuff when ported

The 241 doesn't have a smooth short turn radius. The 243 has a rounded short turn radius which should allow the air to turn smoother.

Sure there is difference between 241 and 243 but this picture is wrong to make real comparison.
