Default SLP Chain bearing??

SLP double chain has this small flat bearing,,,What is it for? The install instructions do not mention it.

goes on the back of the upper chain gear, less friction.

Ahhh, I see...Now the question is what side faces the cam?

looking at my double roller the black part of the bearing faces toward the cam retainer plate
