Lifters
i already changed the oil, so i know its not that, maybe the lifter is just bad.
but anyway what would be the problems here? i was thinking on just buying some new lifters and pushrods, but i was wondering what would be the best for the price, i heard ls7 lifters are good but what about the comp cams?
any advice on this matter would be greatly appriciated
Thx.
update - the noise its like a clicking and it gets louder when i step on the gas.

If the rockers are torqued down to the proper spec, I would look for a failed rocker bearing. This will also cause a ticking sound.
I would personally rule out every possibility of rocker arm noise before I pull the heads. The head bolts cannot be reused, as you probably know already, and if going back with stock fasteners, it is more than difficult to get the correct torque angle on them while the engine is still in the vehicle due to space limitations on the rear of the engine.

1. If the rocker arm trunion bearings are bad, COMP cams sells an upgrade kit that replaces the stock trunions with an updated version. That'll run you around $140
2. Yella Terras, or the like, will do the trick. These type of adjustable rocker arms do not set in the cradle as the stock ones do, and require more in-depth setup as far as rocker pre-load goes. Probably run you around $500
3. Stock Replacements. Can get them used for $50 on ebay
