If your goal is to clean the threads, and not repair them, why not use a wire brush? I'll be doing this job soon, and I need to know how to do it correctly.

I myself used the old bolts with 3 grooves cut down the length of them. I had no issues.

It's NOTHING like using the wrong tool for the balancer (as stated by a poster above)

Brian Tooley does sell the ARP chasers on his website.
