Default does anyone know what this is?

im pulling the under hood harness off my 98 Z28 and i cam accross this box thing under the RF where the coolent res would be it had a plastic line going to it and i have no idea what it is. anyone have a clue?

thats kinda what i was thinking too, but the thing has no weight to it at all. it feels like theres nothing in it....weird

That is the vacum tank for the hvac system.

Ohhhhh makes sense. Would i still be able to use the hvac controls without this?

you should keep it. the vacuum driven accessories will prob give problems withoit it
