Default weight of LS 5.7 long block

Trying to get some moroso springs for the front of my monte how much less does the LS base motor weight than a regular old school SBC . Also about how much more does 6.0 with aluminum heads weight over the 5.7

The "search' function will be your best friend around here.

I get excited when I see "Monte Carlo"...

A LS1 long block is around 430 pounds. Add about 80 pounds for an iron block.

I'd say the Iron block LS engine is about the same weight as an old school SBC.
