I also had good luck with my 224, I made 372 hp and 366 tq with no tuning and the tq curve was flat, really good cam. If I never would have upgraded I would probably still be driving my car now lol.

Aside from the obvious what is the difference between this cam and the old c1 ?222/222 .566/.566
Exactly what does having less lift and more duration mean in this instance.
The tr 224 is sooo popular in comparison -- at least lately anyway.

The slightly increased duration will make a bigger difference than the .003 lift increase as that max lift is only hit once per revolution. The duration keeps the valve open longer going up and down the lobe.
Rarely mentioned or compared, duration at .200 lift can really wake a cam up compared to another with the exact same duration at .050 and advertised total duration.
Make sense?

I had TTP performance install the 224/224 114lsa cam in my Z06 this week..
The car is NOT any less civilized than the stock car! Great mod and great guys over at TTP in their new shop in Saddlebrook NJ.
All I can say is its awesome. 396 rwhp and 380 lb/ft of torque and the car is running the way it should have directly from the factory..
Don't hestitate in the slightest to make this cam your daily driver. Heres a link with a full write up if your interested on a corvette site.

do you have any sound clips of it idleing I'm thinking of useing the same cam. are you useing a stall? if so how big.

I'll take a sound clip this week for you. Its pretty stealth though..No shake rattle and roll..Idles steady at 800rpm..Sure it sounds deeper but its so little a difference I'm very pleased.
I wanted a stealth package and TTP delivered in spades.

Pat with the heads you and I both have. They're just screaming for a higher duration/lift. My peak hp came on around 6k-6.3k rpms. Looking at my dyno graph with the 224 .581 112 cam I'd say go for broke with the Futral or TSP. Or maintain civil manners and good drivability with the Thunder cam 
Mine runs well from 1100 rpm to 6750+ rpm. The power increase over stock starts at about 2800 rpm, but is most noticeable from 3500 rpm and up. It should work with any converter stall.
OLD Post I've been looking into this cam, the 112 lsa version. What kind of milage, if any, can I expect out of this cam compared to stock.

Gas prices suck and its a daily driver. It's a good cam for fuel economy. I lost 4 mpg, but got it back after tunning. On a recent road trip, I got 23 mpg, which was the highest I ever got with the stock cam. Mines the 114 LSA version though.
i ended up upgrading to an fm11 
Seeing as this thread has been brought back from the dead, I finally dynoed my car a couple of months ago in this Texas heat. She put down 376 rwhp and 376 rwtq, that's with all the bolt on's except an LS6 intake. I've ran a best of 12.4 @ 112.x or something like that (too lazy to look for my slip).
