Default Pushrod help.

So I'm using ls7 lifters, ls2 Lifter trays, and comp hardened pushrods in my lq4 block. I have the heads bolted on and I went to put the push rods in and I pushed a little hard and knocked a couple lifters out of the tray I'm assuming, this will be ok correct? I don't need to pull the heads back off and put the lifters back into the tray do I? I'm assuming when the cam moves and the rockers are bolted down the lifters would come out anyway right?

When you install the cam, the lifters are trapped in the lifter cups. When you install the push rods, yes the lifter will slide down to contact the lobes of the cam. As long as the cam is installed, the lifters are going no where.

Its normal what youre describing.

Ok thanks, I wasant worried about them falling to the bottom, the engines out of the car anyway. Just making sure they weren't supposed to stay in the cup till first start up.
