Default new engine thoughts.

i'm starting to think about going ahead with the 402 vise the stroked 5.3 build. but i have a few questions. my current cam is a 215/218 603/595 115+1. mind you this will be a twin turbo build. will this cam perform well in the 402? and will it be able to make power to 6-6200 rpm? i will be running p&p'd ls6 heads and probably a tbss intake mani with flipped truck manifold for the turbo's.

You will want to go with a bigger cam....you'd be suprised how the larger cubes really eat up duration. I can tell you I LOVE my 408.

i figured i would need a bigger cam, but i was hoping this one would work for a while. maybe just turn up the boost. would it spool the turbo faster than a bigger cam?

The cost of the long block is already in the 6k+ range, whats another 375 for a cam? Something that small in a motor that big I cant see making power past 5800.
