Default Budget drag cam suggestions?

I'm about to pull the trigger on my first track only car. Street duties would be limited to maybe the 10 miles going to the track. Im stripping all non-essientials and comfort items. Gear choice and stall depends on cam but about 3.90-4.10 and 3600-4000 I imagine. This is for a 1/4 mile car, so I was thinking something around a MS4. Heads will be stock for the next year or so, so I don't need to future plan. What off the shelf options would be best with a stock cube race weight A4? This is my first cam only swap so I'm not sure what is best for stock 01 heads.

T-Rex or the Helion from flowtech induction (Ed Curtis) stall higher than 4000. Best is to talk to Yank.

T-rex w/ 4500+ stall Yank or percision industries.
In a striped down car(should weigh bout 2900-3000lbs) it will go in the 10's.I would go with a 4:56 and a 28" tall tire should go through the lights around 7300.
With that cam some other mods would be in line to take full advange of it, intake, headers,t.b., do the rocker upgrade.
Good luck with the build let me know if you need anymore help

Looks like your headed in the right direction on gear choice and converter size. I recommend our MS4 camshaft with a 4000+ converter. That should no doubt get you some great results at the track! If you have any other questions on this setup or just want to go over some options give us a call we are happy to help you out.

Just so you know, the Vindicator cam is on comp XER lobes...and is about the same specs as a G5X4...its not any newer than the MS3 or MS4, or any other cam that runs XER lobes, which have been used for well over 10 years now...LOL!

I have seen in person some great results from the Polluter cam. Seems to be comparable to a trex but with better power under the curve. That would be a good option.
