Default valve float? motor breaking up

well someone told me that the high rpm brake up in the dyno graph coudl be due to a little bit of valve float. i never really thought of this but it kinda makes sence. i thought it could be more to the ignition breaking up with old wires and plugs. anyone know much about this? this is on a stock cam and valv etrain motor. just wondering if it could be little valve float.

if that is the case here is my next question. upgrading the valve train would help right? what about gettin new parts in there to upgrade, pushrods, springs, retainers and what not.... would that be good where you can rev the stock motor a little higher? if so how high can you get it? would it be something good for 6400 or so without having to worry about breaking?
