Default Valve Spring advice

I am planing on changing out the spring on my motor its a straight strip car i currently have the patriot gold kit that i had from another set up that has had 2 different cams the last was a ms3 not sure how many miles are on them (ran them on a dd truck from 11/07 to 1/10 and they been through a broken timing chain in the upper rpm range) but i don't want to risk it with a new motor

set up is stock ported 317s with after market valves 2.02 1.575, morel link bar lifters, stock rockers with trunion upgrade, comp push rods, cam is 259 267 .624 .624 probably going to spin between 7000 and 7500

question is should i just get new patriot extremes and keep the old hardware or go with a whole different set up

I would first check the springs that you have, to determine if you need new ones or not. If you do, give us a call and I can get you pricing on our PRCs.

I would personally recommend getting into a new setup, definitely not a place I would want to take a chance considering the age and history of your current spring setup. I would suggest looking into our PRC .650 dual spring setup. Like Jake said above feel free to give us a call we are happy to help you out.

Here is a link to kit on our website.

I would get new ones personally, especially with a new motor like you said I wouldn’t want to risk anything especially with what you said the springs went through.
