I got ya all beat so far. I'll post a pic if you'all don't believe me but I have almost 300k miles on my 98 Camaro, I think it's like 294k now. Been DDing this car for over 7 years.

Engine has never been opened, valve covers still sealed from factory.

Trans was replaced 150k ago, only because sunshell broke on original, but this salvageyard replacement has like 170k on it now (had 20k when installed).

Only problems are rear whines like crazy, been doing that for 100k miles tho. Many leaks, oil leaks, psteering leaks.

I replaced every accessory and fuel pump but just one time each I think.

STOCK ORIGINAL EXHAUST, this stainless exhuast from factory is awesome for durability..

Engine still doesn't burn oil, and car still runs 13.0 at the track bone stock with stall.

Still gets 20mpg.

Loved it so much bought another 2002 fbody

i know it isnt a ls1 but i saw a 5.3 the other day with 799 heads, 05 or 06 z71 with 690k miles, guy said it was the original motor, he bought it new. said hes been through several transmissions. the engine ran smooth as hell and was quiet as a churchmouse.

said hes only changed the sparkplugs once.

i put a steering gearbox on it. that is the only problem i could find other than a lil oil buildup around the valley cover and valve covers.
