I kept the short block from before which is a GM Lsx block and Lunati pro series crank and rods with JE custom pistons which is a 4" stroke with a 6.100 rod with a 4.185 bore to equal a 440 cu/in. I bought the new RHS pro elite ls7 heads, and fitted them with manley severe duty 1.610 exhaust valve and custom 2.200 titanium coated intake valves. With manley Nex tex springs that are 160lbs on the seat and 420 lbs open pressure. So I should be good to 7500 rpm safely. the cam is 234 by 238 @ 50 with .650 lift with 1.8 crower stainless steel shaft mount rockers. I used the com cams short pump up hyd. lifters. I put 3/8 by .120 wall push rods so I should have no deflection there. On top I bought the FAST 102 intake and TB with 60# injectors. I am going to order the Texas speed 100mm MAF and the fast toys 104mm lid (I'm a little concerned with the lid because I have heard of fitment problems)
So far the only major problem that I have run into is the injectors. I didn't realize the the fast intake is made for the ls2 injector and I have the ls1. From the little bit of research that I have done it looks like I can just get a different set of lower o rings to make them work. Which I hope is the case since I really don't want to buy another set and have to get the adapter harness for the ls2.
The trany is at Hanlon motorsports getting upgraded to the viper output and a better 2nd gear plus some general maintance. I have had some vibrations in the drive line that I think is in the trany so I'm having him check it all out. I was really surprised on his prices and he is a really good guy to work with.
I'm really hoping this combo runs better this time around.
Also I am going to try and fab up the gas tank so that I can put the plastic tank back in and submerse the A1000 to help keep it cool, get it out of harms way and cut down some of the noise.

So let me hear what you think.
