Mine is currently quiter than stock. My 1st build with the comp re-grind cam I was running sounded just like a sewing machine. Similar to yours.

Mine was loud with the old cam on XE lobes but not loud enough I could hear it when driving around.

Once I added stock style foam under the Fast intake and went to an EPS cam it is now just as quiet as my 5.3 truck (stock).

Does make a lot of hissing noise especially on cold start up though.

Aside from the noise they make I prefer the newer lobes that are much quieter and offer a better package all around for the ls valve train. I have a cam that is a lot bigger than yours(239/247 110lsa) and it makes no valve train noise with the lobes I have(LSL intake and exhaust).
I'm with Martin on this one. A friend of mine had an MS3 and the thing sounded awful from the get go. Swapped to a PatG cam(23x/24x 110+2) with LSL lobes and the thing is quiet as can be now.

Same ETP 5.3 heads with both cams.

A lot of people aren't aware of this, but it is true.

My valve train is noisy. EPS cam, FAST 92, stock rockers w/ trunnion upgrade. The pushrods and valvesprings are setup correctly. I have kinda gotten use to it but people still ask my why its so noisy.

Don't LSL lobes utterly rape your valve springs though? That is pretty much the only reason I didn't go with them for my cam.

I don't even remember what a stock car sounds like lol. I have AFRs, and a 224/228 in my car, and my wife's car has an EPS 227/230 cam, and milled 799s. Both make noise, but I don't even pay attention to it any more.

While I didn't have heads on the car, I had MS3 cam. here's a couple of vids, in all of these vids I had Pacesetter LTs, TSP ORY, 3" Magnaflow bullet, dumped.

Yes and no. LSK are much more violent, but there are still better lobes than the old style XER, XFI, Extreme RPM etc.

If you want a good lobe that is specific for the LS motor and is less aggressive than the LSL lobes the LXL lobes are for you. If you want a slightly less aggressive lobe than the LXL lobe then HUC lobes would be my next recommendation.

Wish I would have known that sooner, possibly would have changed my cam specs a bit to fit it. Oh well.

you guys hear that hum/rubbing noise from :26-:29 seconds? I just did a head/cam/intake etc swap and I have that same noise and I guess I dont recognize if thats normal with the swap or not. To me it has me worried that its a cam bearing and I just cant pinpoint the noise. But maybe its just normal and im paranoid right now. My cam bearing looked good though... maybe slight copper color but it was very minimal and the factory cam that I pulled out all of the surfaces were like brand new! what do you guys think?? I dont mean to hijack but the video posted was a good representation. VIDEO ON THE 1st PAGE

I have a cam on the same lobes, just a bit smaller, and its pretty noisy. Pushrod length and.lifter preload are spot on, just figured it was loud from the cam.
Maybe ive got something wrong

I have LSK lobes in my daily driver. In my experience they are louder than other lobes.
