Yeah it let go back in june at midnight madness, **** happens when youre racing. Its all good, its been fun to learn some stuff about these motors on this build and the new combo should work alot better. Plus now with some good rods in it i can put a nice shot of gas on it if i ever get the wild hair to do so.

Well its back up and running. I put about 130 miles on it so far. Hoping to get it tuned either this weekend or next week. I will post the numbers up then.

I meant to update this thread sooner. Got the car going and it has about 1500 miles on the new motor now and everything has been going smooth. Here are some updates on the differences.
Old motor- 423whp (dynojet, locked converter)
346ci
unported dart 225 heads
F14HL cam- 230/234 .646 114
Manley flat top pistons 10.5:1
fast 92/92
Best 1/4 mile was 12.02@114- 1.70 60ft
New motor- 405whp (mustang dyno, unlocked converter pulling to 6500 and power still climbing)
347ci
ported dart 225 heads
EPS 230/234 .600 112
JE Flat top pistons 10.8:1
Eagle H beam rods
fast 92/92
Only 1 pass so far in similar DA and conditions as before
11.81@117.98- 1.70 60ft
I did not change converters, still the old vigilante 3200, 3:73 gear etc. Full weight, tools, spare etc not taken out, just as i drive everyday.
I knew the car was faster up top now even only pulling to 6500 like before so i just made one pass as a baseline. Im going to start doing some suspension mods next and take the spare out, tools etc. and see what it does in cooler weather. I have no doubt it has some .60's maybe even .50's on the right day and will prob trap 118-120 in good air maybe higher if i start pulling the motor to 7K. So not bad considering i went down in cam and still picked up some power. The car will stall all motor until tax season then ill probably go ahead and put a 150 shot on it to see how it likes it.
