Default Big problem, lifter came apart and stuck in block!!

Like title says, Car I am currently driving and working on had a lifter come apart as I found out today when i pulled the heads and lifters out. I have a lifter that came apart and is now mushroomed on the bottom and stick in the bore. I can possibly pull the cam and get it out the bottom but I can almost guarantee the bore is messed up, is there a fix to this??? Let me know guys, any help is appreciated.

You can have a machine shop put a bronze sleeve in the lifter bore. But it may just be better to get a good used block as the cost of that may surpass the cost of a used block. Myself, as long as the oil port is not messed up by the broken lifter, I.would deburr the bore, smoothe itbout and drop a new lifter in and run it.

Its not a stock block so replacing it with a used one wouldnt be my first alternative. Was just wondering if they can be repaired if necessary. Appreciate it though.

I had this happen. Put a pen magnet on the lifter to hold it up and pulled the cam. Used a strong extendable magnet to go into the front of the block and essentially pull out the bad lifter from the front. It's not easy and if you drop it you are SOL. It worked for me though...

I had this happen to me as well on a ls1 block it sucked !!! I planned to pull the cam out but the cam would only come out till in got to the 2nd cam journal then it was stuck!
So i figured screw it I'm going to iron sleeve the lifter bore's or copper it anyway so i welded a long *** bolt to the lifter and took a slide hammer to it lol it did not move at all. so its ls1 with a ms4 cam hanging out the front table now. looks kinda neat in my man cave.
