Don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but here goes.
Has anyone ever soda blasted the engine and trans to clean them up? I have a pull out that has 40,000 miles on it, but really needs to be cleaned up. Was considering making sure it was sealed up and then soda blasting both the engine and trans. Wondered if anyone had done this.

ive had several parts soda blasted, and seen an engine soda blatsed, so long as its properly sealed up, i mean sealed very well, then soda blasting is an awsome process, and gives amazing results. afterwrds protect the clean surface, and it will look gfood for years. and once its blasted it will be easy to keep clean.

I used two cans of Gunk Engine Brite, then CRC Brake Clean, then Simple Green with a soft brush the on the last motor I did. Then blew it dry and hit it with black Duplicolor Header Paint as a primer folowed by Duplicolor Aluminum. Worked like a champ.
