Default Valve train/pushrod question

241 heads milled to 60cc chambers which with the chamber work turned out to be around .080. Mocked up to check PTV, with no head gasket in place I had .063 exhaust and .035 intake. With a stock graphite gasket that should put me at .123 exhaust and .093 intake with a .058 compressed thickness on the gasket. With a comp cams length checker and solid lifter I had around 7 turns for zero lash which puts it at 7.150 add in the preload and gasket thickness does 7.250 sound right? It seems awfully short, when my cam was spec'd it was suggested to run 7.4 but that is obviously not going to work. Is that a normal range for the pushrod to fall into with the heads milled that far?

What lifters will you be using?
.058 compressed gasket seems a tad too tall, I've always figured .052 on gasket compressed.
So as per your calculations:
7.150 + .058 = 7.208
So you only added .042 preload?

ls7 lifters, should I be looking for more preload? This is my first ls build and I want my valve train to be as quiet as possible
