Default Block Logic

I have a 98 T/A and was wondering which better, in terms of overall price and degree of difficulty, to bore and stroke my current 5.7L 345ci block to 3.905" and 4.00" or just go find a 383ci somewhere?

IMHO I think it would be better to build a 6.0 liter stroker. You get more cubes for just a little more money. The extra cost is of course getting the block itself, which you can probably find for $500 or so. That is the iron version. The aluminum LS2 will cost more. But you get 402 ci out of a std bore 6 liter with a 4" stroke vice 383 with the LS1 bore and the sttoker assemblies cost the same amount for both.

Go with a 6.0 if ur looking for a overall better build. Plus opens up many options of cylinder heads. Over a 3.9 bore
