In single beehives I've used Comp 918s, Pac 1518 with no failures. The longest lasting on high lift (without significant loss in pressures after 15k) has been PSI 1511. I tend to use those nowadays if I'm able to locate them easily.
Beehives have attributes that are not available in duals, some of which:
- Better harmonic control
- Lighter effective moving mass weight.

The last set I did I didn't have to shim them. But I did check them to see what the install height was. Seems like they came in at around 1.750" and they where on a souped up .615" lift cam.

The Comp 918's used to be really good when PAC was making them for Comp.

To help with price you can use the stock retainers and seats with the 1519's.
