Default head gaskets???

on heads install can you just use high temp RTV??? I seem to remeber seeing this done on some saturday morning car program....

just curious...
I'm probably gonna do the real gasket either way...

No! Your head gasket will go

Either assemble dry or you can spray on some Hylomar (what I use)

not only no, but HELL NO!

Dry or spray copper. Dry should be PERFECTLY fine for what you're doing.

Modern engines require high-tech head gaskets. GM’s Gen III engines use MLS (multi-layer-steel) head gaskets developed in Japan in the early 1990s. You can learn more about these gaskets at the following Dupont-Dow web site:
