6.0 LQ4 Options
Getting ready to do my swap soon on my 93 chevy reg cab short bed. putting a carbed 6.0 in from a 2000 2500. This is the older cast iron block with the cast iron heads, 873's I believe. Im planning on a cam, headers, and 100-150 shot of nitrous so what should I do for heads? I havent heard anything bad from the 873's but didnt know if there were better options. 317's for example or?? The flow rates on those seemed pretty compareable so didnt know my best option and thought id ask for some opinions so i can keep an eye out on ebay, craigslist, etc in case I find a deal
243's would be a step up. The cast iron versions flow the same as the 317 aluminum version but aluminum is obviously an advantage. The 317's and 873's have the same ports as the 243's but the 243's have smaller chambers for increased compression.
