I also have a 98 z28 and I went with a comp cams xer273 224/230 .581/.588 with comp 918 valvesprings. I have no complaints since it has more power up to 6600rpm and it doesn't t feel like I gave up any torque down low. Good cam with the PCM tuned. 98 ls1 cars have a more primitive PCM than the newer cars. Some tuners don't mess with them. Pcmforless did my mail order tune and it helped al

My car stalled at red lights/stop signs before, but after the tune it ran like a dream. I do need to upgrade my converter now as the stock one feels a little tight, but it is still manageable and fun to drive/race!
What are your goals? What are your current modifications? What do you want out of the car?
Do you want the biggest cam you can fit with adequate PTV clearance or something for a DD, something more along the lines of a cruiser type vehicle or a weekend play toy?
