questions about porting heads

questions about porting heads i put a cam in my car about 2 years ago and i decided i would like to refreshen up my engine and i was thinking or porting and polishing the heads while im at it but my question is if i port and polish the heads and throttle body will that make my car throw codes cause now the heads would be increased with air and fuel noooo? Basically im redoing the engine cause i now have 133xxx abused miles and a fullblown dyno tune is not in my budget at this time and with emissions right around the corner i dont want o2 sensors or any thing else tripping to fail the car anyone else ever do this before? what was your results?
