383 stroker build I have a 98 camaro ss with H/C/I setup already and I am looking into doing a 383 stroker setup to get me 500+ whp N/A. I'm pretty sure I am fully setup for this build except I am not sure whether or not my heads will work well with a stroker setup and I know I need a bigger cam and stall (I have a FLT level 4 built 4L60E w/ Yank 3400 stall).
Now I still have a LOT of research to do before I can make this new project happen but this is what I got in mind so far: Texas Speed 383 rotating assembly with Lunati forged crank, Lunati H-beam rods, and Mahle -6cc dish pistons, Vindicator cam (240/244 .605/.596 112 LSA), Yank Pro Thruster 4400 stall, and Comp cams double roller timing chain.
This setup would be used with my PRC stg. 2.5 LS6 heads w/ 64cc chambers, FAST 92mm intake ported by Hinson, 92mm TB, 42# injectors, Racetronix fuel pump w/ wiring harness and pump booster, ported LS6 oil pump, LS7 lifters, CompCams trunion upgraded stock rockers, and PRC .650 dual springs. I also have Moser 12bolt with 3.73 gears. What do you guys think??

Sounds like a nice plan. I actually planned the same thing at one point. However, I found that after the price of the rotating assembly and cost of machining and assembly you should just buy a larger displacement shortblock.

I've already priced out all the parts I need including the full rotating assembly and it came out to be around $4,000 which is in my budget. How much do you think machining and assembly would be? I'm going to be doing most of the install myself
What compression ratio are you shooting for? The Mahle pistons sit down .010" from the deck (1.105" CH) on a stock deck height LS1. That's not neccessarily bad but will result in a lower compression ratio in comparison to a similar piston that sits flush to the deck at TDC. If you are ordering the rotating assembly from Texas Speed, I'd talk to them about which pistons to run to get the desired compression ratio. Its not only about the static comression ratio, the dynamic compression ratio matters too.
