have a 383 with low oil pressure.. i believe my original engine guy had the clearences too loose bc another ls i found out he built has same low oil pressure as me.. which is the high pressure pump that i should use on my 383? going to be buying a new one when i pull the motor to let cartek redo the bearings

Unfortunately, putting a different pump on an engine with loose clearances is like a band-aid on a bullet hole Between the two, if I had to try it, I'd go 10295 with the higher pressure spring....but the right answer is to get the right bearings in there for sure!

Gotcha! With better clearances, the 10295 will still work very well, but I'd run the lighter spring.
